Achievements

Throughout this internship I have learned many valuable things. Before this opportunity I had never worked at a hotel so I have learned how it works, operates, how to use the computer system, revenue management, the struggles of employees calling out sick or not showing up, and have improved my customer service skills and interactions. This business is all about customer service and keeping the guest happy. Every shift is 8 hours, so for that 8 hours you are working around the clock to accommodate the guests by providing them with anything they need, answering phone calls, etc. My position is technically the front desk but I am considered their "first intern" and they are teaching me other areas than just the front desk such as housekeeping, laundry, and some basic manager tools.
